License to Learn

I had to buy a map of the U.S. today. It's not like we don't have several already, but this one needed to be laminated and the states needed to be clearly defined.

My son and I are embarking on a little project. You see, we're tracking license plates.

In my neverending quest to sneak learning into everyday living, I've thieved this idea from a local DJ and made it *cough* mine *cough*.

Anyhow, for every license plate from another state that we see TOGETHER, he gets to find the state on the map and place a sticker on the capitol.

He thinks this is all in the name of fun. Who am I to disagree?

Very cool! I like to check out license plates when I travel, so maybe I need a map too! :) Afterall, I have the CollectorKids Quarters of the 50 States map!

Cool idea.
When we would go on family vacations, we'd play license plate bingo..same idea, but a little more competetive ;)
Since you both have to see the plate ..."ignore" or "fail to see" Oregon for a wek ;)
