Let's look at this logically. Kate made her last post on August 14th at 9:17 PM Hawaii time. The nasty abusive comment was against this post was logged posted August 15th at 12:21 AM San Diego time. San Diego is three hours behind Hawaii. That means it was posted at 9:21 PM Hawaii time. Here's the screen shot. That's 4 minutes from the last post Kate made. There are 408 words in the comment per MS Words word count feature. A barely competent typist is capable of typing 50 words per minute. At that rate, it would take 8.16 minutes to type this comment. At 120 WPM, a reasonable but still not stellar rate,
the elapsed time would be 3.5 minutes. Is anybody following my math here? Is it feasible that Kate made her last post at 9:17 PM, slithered over to Joanie's to write this comment? Yes. Is it feasible

It's 8:40 here, I just got back from complimenting Kate on her new site. Time stamp is 2:39 AM. That's 6 hours. When I hit post, this one should come up at like 5:42 AM. That's 3 hours behind me.

The last comment I made, I made right after I commented at Kate's site. It took me less than 2 minutes to get back and type and post that comment and I don't touch type fast at all. Elapsed time is 5 minutes. We're dealing with single digit minutes, not over an hour.

If Kate did write that comment, and the more I look at it, the more convinced I become, it would be unwise for Joanie to accept the offer of a collect call from Kate. It would mean handing an abuser who is harassing Joanie with a telephone number. The call itself would be meaningless. It would not be the first time a child lied to protect an alcholic parent from the consequences of committing an irrational act. Also, there is a remote possibility that the child did write the post in order to please her mother. I say remote because if you read the comment, there are value judgements being made that I don't believe came out of the head of a 12 year old. If it did, there is still a pile of anger pent up in that child that needs addressing. She is obviously acting out.

In any case, there is something seriously wrong here and if Kate cares about her family, she should be seeking professional help.

I'm sure I'm going to get totally blasted somewhere for writing this. I would ask the folks, like Cassidy, who really care about Kate to consider the fact that they may be hurting Kate by acting as enablers and reinforcing the dellusion that everything is alright in Hawaii.

The question here that no one seems to have asked is that assuming Kate's daughter did write all of these things, where, how, why, what and when did she gather all of these facts and then assemble them into such a value judgment about Joanie.

Did her daughter come up with this on her own? Or does her mother drink like a fish and swear like a sailor about Joanie on a constant basis, or is it that she is writing horrible and slanderous things about Joanie to others?

In the past I have visited your site and Kate's site rather infrequently and was unaware that you two had a "thing" going, so I can't really describe myself as ardent follower of either of you. But you don't have to be a "sheep" to notice that someone who sends child protective services to somebody's home as a form of harassment is well beneath contempt. The true mindless followers would be those that support you and what you TRIED to do.

If that person was you (that called CPS), you have committed a crime. If that person was not you, then you have used your little piece of the web to incite this.

Either way your ISP and/or hosting company is being contacted by myself, and likely others as well, because I am quite positive that you have violated MANY terms of your service agreement as well as their usage policies.

Jim, you might want to look at your terms of service for your ISP -- for example most ISP's have an anti harrassment clause, to "stalk" or otherwise harass another is prohibited.

Likewise, most ISPs have a clause about posting anything that invades the privacy of another. Minors in particular.
