Poor Birthday Boy Part II

The Little Dude was still sick today. I felt so bad. There's only so much I can do for him when he's ill.

Day Two at home from school. He wanted to sleep. He didn't want to do anything. He didn't want to eat. He didn't even want ice cream.

His temp, at six this evening, was 102.3\x{00BA} axillary. Ibuprofen, ibuprofen, ibuprofen! Needless to say, our party plans for tomorrow are tenuous.

He liked his presents. Nothing big. Well, the snake was/is big. A big stuffed snake. He adores it. I'm glad. Best $11 I ever spent. He laughed at the "super ream" of paper I gave him. 800 sheets of paper for him to decorate with dinosaurs, helicopters, jets, dolphins, whales, sharks, and whatever else strikes his fancy. Greg gave him Zoo Tycoon. Yes, my little guy will soon be stealing the computer from me even more. He also got some stickers - ocean stuff, of course, and he got a big book of jokes.

When the ibuprofen finally kicked in, we had cake. He said he was ready for a hot dog and then cake, but, knowing how he'd been the whole day, I gave him the cake. Hell, it's the kid's birthday, a little cake and no dinner wouldn't hurt. He had about 4 bites and that was it. I'm glad I gave him the cake first.

We got the little goodie bags for the party filled. I still need to draw the poster for the "pin-the-tail-on-the-whale" game. Yep. We're gonna go with an old fashioned party game. Why not? The kids love it! That's the only game. I figured that they'd be busy with all the other activities that will be happening in the park. Our free entertainment and main parking competition.

Again, that's what's supposed to happen tomorrow. If the Little Dude feels better.

I'm hoping he feels better.
