Have I Mentioned Lately...???
Have I mentioned lately how much I hate moving? We're closing in on the final "out" date and I still have a ton of stuff to get moved. I've also just listed a shitload of items online for sale since the new place is small...too small...for everything we own.
Let's see...
- One car - doesn't run, but with a new engine, it'll be fine. Oh, and I think I accidently threw out the friggen pink slip for it. Grrrrrrrr.
- Loft bed - can be loft or not. Can also be bunk bed.
- Antique child's rolltop desk - hate to part with this item, but Little Dude has outgrown it.
- Washer and dryer.
- Fridge
- Mission style coffee table - I absolutely love this thing, but it's too big for our tiny living room.
There are other things still in the garage, but I haven't quite managed to sort through those yet.
Spent two and a half days doped to the gills after one moving session because of the pain. Couldn't get up by myself, could hardly move without sending myself into a world of hurt. So, not only do I hate moving, I hate...no, I LOATHE the damn insurance company for denying part of my claim and for keeping me writhing in agony because of the stupid new work comp laws. Oh, and the lack of mobility has kept me from some of my favorite distractions (mostly music and photography).
On the upside, it's summertime and it's finally warm in SoCal. Bah. Oh well, just means I can catch up on all my JAG tapes. (Yes, because I'm stuck at home so often and keep weird hours, I've become hooked on a show I used to mock. Do you think the courts would award me any sort of damages for that?)

Things I'd Rather Do
When it comes to moving, I am easily frustrated and cranky.
Here's a partial list of things I'd rather do:
- Tweeze eyelashes off a greased pig
- Have an ingrown toenail removed by someone with no thumbs and rusty tools
- Have a woodpecker drill into my brain
- Be poked in the eye
- Give birth
- De-spam my comments and trackbacks
